Editorial Consultation
A conversation with an editor who gets it can help you untangle a knot — and keep going!
Sometimes it can be helpful to talk through a tricky section in your draft or troubleshoot a plot question with someone who understands the drafting process as an author and an editor. The Editorial Consultation is a quick way to get actionable feedback and keep making progress on your draft.
The Editorial Consultation empowers you to:
Articulate what’s not working, and what is
Receive feedback on a single aspect of your draft
Get a fresh perspective and move past the obstacle
What’s Included
I tailor my services to the needs of each client, but a typical process looks like this:
Step 1: We schedule a thirty-minute call.
Step 2: You send me about twenty pages of your manuscript and explain your challenge.
Step 3: I read your pages.
Step 4: We talk.
Step 5: You get back to work.
Timeframe
Depending on your schedule and mine, we can meet about a week after you send me your materials.
